Chris has been part of the Harlow business community since 2018 and is a member of the senior leadership team at Nwes, the town’s local enterprise agency that manages the Harlow Enterprise Hub. Over the past seven years, he has worked as a business advisor, trainer, and project manager, supporting and advising businesses across the town and building strong connections within both local government and the business community. He has served as Chair since 2022.
Chris Smith is a business advisor and entrepreneur with a strong background in business development. Having grown his own company from a start-up to a multi-million-pound operation and successfully through to exit, he understands the realities - and challenges - of running and scaling a business. Originally from South Africa, Chris brings a combination of entrepreneurial drive and practical experience to his new role with the Chamber, where he will lead on supporting and connecting local businesses.
